Exhibition Inspired by PM Modi’s Radio Programme
The Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Kaladarsana Division, Ministry of Culture, inaugurated an art exhibition titled ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on September 16, 2025. Curated by Prof. (Dr.) Richa Kamboj, the show features a series of paintings by senior artist Manjit Singh, all inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular radio programme Mann Ki Baat.
Leaders Highlight Modi’s Energy & Inspiration
Padma Bhushan awardee and IGNCA President Ram Bahadur Rai, speaking at the event, praised PM Modi’s astonishing energy as he turns 75. He said the exhibition allows audiences to engage with ‘Mann Ki Baat’ in new ways, much like revisiting a book to find fresh meanings. He congratulated the curators for holding the event on the eve of the Prime Minister’s birthday.
Artist’s Perspective
Artist Manjit Singh explained that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is more than a broadcast; it is a dialogue connecting society, economy, and politics. He described the programme as a “timeless document of modern India” and said his artwork will remain an enduring reflection of its impact.
Voices from IGNCA
IGNCA Member Secretary Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi remarked that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has brought stories of ordinary citizens into national discourse. He said Singh’s paintings beautifully capture the programme’s spirit of unity and diversity on canvas.
Public Access to the Exhibition
The exhibition is open to the public at Darshanam Gallery, IGNCA, New Delhi, from 17 to 22 September 2025, between 10:30 AM and 6:30 PM daily.
