Gujarat Launches Centralised Arogya Samiksha Kendra for Real-Time Health Monitoring and Public Support

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, accompanied by Health Minister Rishikesh Patel, inaugurated Gujarat’s centralised Arogya Samiksha Kendra (Health Review Centre) in Gandhinagar on National Doctors’ Day. This facility is set to revolutionize how health schemes and services are monitored and delivered across the state.

The centre consolidates all health-related initiatives under one roof—offering digital dashboards, real-time data, and remote communication tools to ensure transparency and efficiency. It provides direct access to beneficiaries in remote areas via a call centre-based support system.

A dedicated 104 Health Helpline is fully operational to offer citizens medical advice, scheme-related details, and guidance in non-emergency situations. PMJAY-specific services and feedback collection mechanisms are also integrated into the system.

The Arogya Samiksha Kendra features:

  • Statewide monitoring of maternal and child health, TB treatment follow-ups, and vaccination programs
  • 12-terminal video conferencing facility and CAD-based call centre infrastructure with 100 trained executives
  • Quick feedback loop and grievance handling via EMRI GHS application with secure data recording
  • Digital dashboards for tracking district-level health metrics and service saturation
  • Click-to-call system for real-time coordination with health officers at all administrative levels

The review centre will particularly enhance tracking of key focus areas including sickle cell anemia cases, malnutrition in children, maternal health risks, and TB patients undergoing high-risk or post-treatment monitoring.

Feedback from beneficiaries enrolled under Ayushman Bharat PMJAY will also be collected, ensuring the schemes are continually evaluated and improved based on user experience.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by top officials including Additional Chief Secretary Dhananjay Dwivedi, Secretary to CM Vikrant Pandey, Health Commissioner Harshad Patel, and Rural Health Commissioner Dr. Ratankunwar Gadhvi.
