Gujarat has taken a major step toward enhancing educational quality by appointing 4,758 new higher secondary assistant teachers under the 2025 recruitment initiative. The appointments include 1,515 in government schools and 3,243 in grant-in-aid institutions across the state. A special appointment ceremony was held in Gandhinagar where Education Minister Dr. Kuberbhai Dindor handed out appointment letters to 90 newly recruited teachers from Gandhinagar district.

Dr. Dindor emphasized that teaching is not just a position, but a deep responsibility. He highlighted the pivotal role teachers play in shaping student futures by recognizing talent and guiding them in the right direction. He acknowledged his own gratitude to educators who shaped his journey from primary school to higher education.

The recruitment was conducted in a transparent and online format to ensure fair opportunity for every deserving candidate. The initiative supports the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat@2047 mission and is being carried forward under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

The minister reiterated the state’s commitment to strengthening schools with modern resources like smart classrooms and computer labs, ensuring that students aren’t deprived of technology-integrated education. He also called upon teachers to instill strong moral values and character-building practices among students, ensuring the next generation is both skilled and ethical.

Local MLAs including Shri Alpesh Thakor and Shri Dhavlisinh Zala were present, along with school trustees, government officials, and the newly appointed teachers and their families. MLA Alpesh Thakor announced a ₹5 lakh grant for local school support, praising the transparent recruitment process and urging new teachers to contribute sincerely to the academic future of students.

District Collector Mehul Dave and Education Officer Bhagwanbhai Prajapati also addressed the gathering and welcomed the appointees with encouraging words.

With these appointments, Gujarat reinforces its dedication to inclusive, transparent, and future-ready education policies for all citizens.
