What Is ‘Namotsav’?
‘Namotsav’ is a special live musical multimedia show celebrating the life and journey of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, from his early childhood in Vadnagar to becoming a global leader. The event is part of the 75th birthday celebrations and aims to showcase key milestones and symbolic moments in his life.
Event Details & Performers
The show will take place on September 17, 2025, at the Soneriya Block Ground in Bapunagar, Ahmedabad. Around 150 popular artists, including Sairam Dave, will perform. The production will also involve about 450 technicians to manage stagecraft, multimedia visuals, and supporting effects. An estimated 50,000 attendees are expected.
Production & Visuals
The event will feature an elaborate stage setup, large LED screens (seven installed), drone visuals, and thematic props representing elements like trains, horses, elephants, and even crocodiles. The show is expected to run for approximately 2 hours and 37 minutes.
Logistics & Public Information
Entry will be via passes of different categories (Invitee, Platinum, Gold), and there will be multiple gates (six to seven) to manage the crowd for safety and convenience.
In view of the large gathering, traffic advisories have been issued. Specific road closures will be in force near Bapunagar General Hospital to Soneriya Block via Sheth CL School junction. Alternative routes have been suggested by the Ahmedabad Police. Restrictions begin from around 2 PM until the event ends.
Why It Matters
‘Namotsav’ is not just an entertainment show—it’s being positioned as a cultural tribute and community event, meant to inspire people through the story of PM Modi’s life. It reflects the growing trend of large-scale multimedia public performances for significant national celebrations.
