PM Modi to Lead Centenary Celebration in Delhi
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the centenary celebration of the historic conversation between Mahatma Gandhi and Sree Narayana Guru on June 24, 2025 at around 11 AM at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. He will also address the gathering during the occasion.
Remembering the 1925 Meeting at Sivagiri Mutt
The original meeting took place on 12 March 1925 at Sivagiri Mutt during Mahatma Gandhi’s visit. The profound dialogue centered around crucial issues including:
- Vaikom Satyagraha
- Religious conversions
- Non-violence
- Abolition of untouchability
- Attainment of salvation
- Upliftment of the downtrodden
Organised by Sree Narayana Dharma Sanghom Trust
The event is being organised by the Sree Narayana Dharma Sanghom Trust and aims to bring together spiritual leaders, scholars, and the public to reflect on the transformative vision shared by these two great reformers.
