NESTS and Avanti Fellows Join Hands to Empower Tribal Students
On July 21, 2025, the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Avanti Fellows to provide structured coaching support for JEE Main/Advanced and NEET entrance exams. This landmark initiative aims to boost inclusive education and empower students from Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs) across India.
Five-Year Agreement to Begin in Academic Year 2025–26
The MoU is valid for five years and kicks off from the academic year 2025–26. This partnership seeks to close the educational gap for tribal students, enabling their access to top-tier coaching for India’s most competitive entrance exams.
First Center of Excellence at EMRS Bhopal
The first Center of Excellence (CoE) will be set up at EMRS Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, catering to 80 selected students. These students will be admitted based on a rigorous entrance exam. In the coming years, similar CoEs are planned for various states to scale the program nationally.
About the Partnership
Avanti Fellows is a public charitable trust recognized for its grassroots academic interventions. Through this tie-up, EMRS students will receive not only academic coaching but also mentorship, study planning, and exam strategies tailored for IIT-JEE and NEET aspirants.
A Step Towards Educational Equity
This collaboration is a significant step forward in making quality education accessible to marginalized communities. By giving tribal youth the tools and confidence to crack national-level exams, the program hopes to create long-term societal impact and a more inclusive nation.
