‘Wings to Our Hopes Vol-II’ Unveiled by Raksha Mantri Featuring Speeches of President Murmu
On June 23, 2025, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh released the second volume of ‘Wings to Our Hopes’, a compilation of 51 speeches by President Smt Droupadi Murmu. The event, held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, was attended by Information & Broadcasting Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State Shri L Murugan.
The book covers the President’s speeches from August 2023 to July 2024 and reflects her vision on diverse themes including innovation, education, equality, culture, and public service. Shri Rajnath Singh praised the collection as a guiding light for India’s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
He described President Murmu as an inspiring example of women-led leadership in India and a symbol of moral strength and compassion. He added that the President’s thoughts on development, heritage, spirituality, and governance align closely with national priorities under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Union I&B Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw noted that the speeches provide a valuable perspective on the challenges and opportunities of modern India. He highlighted the President’s simplicity and empathy, citing her emotional engagement with visually impaired children in Dehradun on her birthday as an example.
Published by the Publications Division of the Ministry of I&B and compiled by Rashtrapati Bhavan, the book aims to inspire future generations through the President’s messages of unity, inclusivity, and progress.
