Festival of Service and Creativity
The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is celebrating Sewa Parv 2025 from 17th September to 2nd October 2025 as a nationwide festival of service, art, and cultural pride. Inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a Viksit Bharat by 2047, the festival promotes Sewa (service) and Kala (art) as twin pillars of national development.
Highlights of 19th September Events
- Vadodara, Gujarat (Swami Vivekanand Art Gallery, IGNCA): A professional workshop brought together 75 eminent artists, guided by Padma Shri Chunnilal Bhai Chitara, a renowned Mata ni Pachedi artist.
- Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh (Allahabad Museum): Over 600 participants joined in collaboration with Lalit Kala Akademi and NCZCC. Distinguished dignitaries like Justice (Retd.) Sudhir Narayan and Prof. Ajay Jately graced the event.
- Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh (Andhra University): Around 300 students and artists took part in a workshop inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. G.P. Rajashekhar.
- Yadagirigutta, Telangana (Laxmi Narashimah Hall): A session with 150 school students encouraged young learners to envision a Viksit Bharat. Local dignitaries and officials participated.
Digital Participation for Citizens
The Ministry has enabled nationwide engagement through the Sewa Parv portal, where institutions upload event documentation and individuals can share artworks, photos, and creative expressions. Citizens are encouraged to use #SewaParv on social media. A dedicated link allows individual participation.
Spirit of Janbhagidari
From Padma award-winning artists to school students, the workshops embodied the spirit of Janbhagidari (people’s participation). These events showcased how service and art together strengthen the cultural fabric of the nation, envisioning a vibrant and developed India by 2047.
How to Participate
- Create an artwork on the theme “Viksit Bharat ke Rang, Kala ke Sang” and upload it online.
- Join painting workshops at one of the 75 listed locations across India.
