Navsari Station Gets Vande Bharat Express Halt from August 23

Vande Bharat Express Adds Navsari to Its Stops

From August 23, the Gandhinagar Capital–Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 20902) will make an experimental two-minute halt at Navsari station, responding to growing public demand and improving regional connectivity.

Timings of the New Stop

  • The southbound train (20902) will pause at Navsari at 17:27 hrs, resuming departure at 17:29 hrs.
  • The northbound service (20901) will begin halting there from August 24, stopping at 08:43 hrs and departing at 08:45 hrs.

Why Navsari Matters

Navsari becomes the 20th city in Gujarat to receive Vande Bharat connectivity—expanding access across the state and offering commuters from South Gujarat a faster, modern rail option.

Context & Responses

The revised halt follows earlier confirmation by Union Jal Shakti Minister and Navsari MP C.R. Patil—and reinforces India Railways’ agenda of enhancing convenience through semi-high-speed services. The move comes just two weeks after Valsad was added experimentally as a new stop on the same route, reflecting a broader trend of responsive regional connectivity upgrades.
