Banas Dairy, Asia’s largest dairy cooperative, made history at its 57th Annual General Meeting by approving a massive ₹2,131.68 crore payment hike for milk producers. Additionally, ₹778.12 crore in support has been allocated—bringing the total to a staggering ₹2,909.8 crore.
Substantial Increase in Milk Fat Rate
For the financial year 2023–24, the fat-based milk rate was ₹989.28 per kg. Under the new scheme, this has been raised to ₹1,007 per kg, reflecting an **18.32% increase**. This move encapsulates the cooperative’s commitment to fair and enhanced remuneration for its farmer-members.
